This is tightly wrapped around the compacted core of black Cavendish tobacco. The roll is then shaped into a cylindrical form for fermentation and aging, and subsequently sliced into pieces, commonly referred to as “bull’s eye slices”.
Flavor evaluation: Virginia brings a smoothness [drinking milk tea R] and a woody aroma accompanied by a grassy fragrance. The fully fermented combination of black Cavendish and Perique brings balance to the otherwise overly sweet and cloying Big Red Seal. The slightly spicy and bitter taste of the medium-red segment is also just right, with a moderate room aroma and a medium-to-low nicotine content.
